Jennifer (she/her) has been
serving childbearing families in
the central NJ area since 1999.
Beyond my education and experience as a Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse-Midwife, I have special training in helping people feed babies, period. The Integrative Feeding and Lactation Specialist is a radically inclusive, non-judgmental, family-centered, LGBTQ+ and adoption friendly approach to helping you define and reach your feeding goals, while recognizing you as the expert on what works for your beautiful family.
Sometimes pregnancy birth and beyond are blissful. Sometimes, we are left with unresolved memories from birth, pregnancy or postpartum that won’t seem to leave us alone. This can happen to birth workers, like doulas, midwives, nurses and doctors, as well. In a process developed by Pam England, founder of Birthing From Within, Birth Story Medicine uses the power of stories - our stories and ancient ones - alongside proven therapeutic techniques to help resolve those memories and allow healing to begin.
Please note, Birth Story Listening and Birth Story Medicine are not therapy or a substitute for therapy. Birth Story Medicine is the property of Pam England. Meetings can be in-person or virtual, and virtual sessions can be anonymous for birth workers.
Pregnancy, birth, parenting and even just the passage of time can take a toll on the body. As a former dancer, a midwife and now a Certified Core Exercise Solutions Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, I can work with you to construct a program tailor made for your challenges and goals. I can address breathing habits, postural issues, separation of the abdominal muscles (diastasis recti), and pelvic floor issues like pressure and leaking that may keep you out of traditional exercise or dance classes. With gentle exercises starting as early as 2-4 weeks postpartum, up to strength building workouts designed for more athletic individuals, together we will get you back on your feet!
